James D. Adams - Author

     James D. Adams is a seasoned writer and literacy advocate for children and their families. He has made up scary ghost stories since he was 4 years old and has thrown an anual Halloween party for over 20 years.He was a co-founder of The Kerouac Society poetry group while attending Ohio University. He wrote and starred in the 1995 play "Welcome To Chilli Town" which was performed at the Majestic Theater in Chillicothe. He also spent some time as a DJ on WCHI. He is a life long musician, mastering both the guitar and the drums, but still working on his piano chops. He spent 8 years in Band at Huntington School, where he served as band president and section leader his last 2 years, while also starring in and winning Best Actor in his Senior Class Play "The Phantom Strikes Again." He also spent over 8 years as a proud 4-H member. His time at 4-H camp & camping at Paint Creek's Halloween Campout surely inspired some of his Creepy Campfire Tales.

     James lives with his wife, Kim & his son Evan, Dasiy & Buster the family dogs, and 9 cats on a farm in Ohio. He is at work on the Dark Valley Ohio horror series and making author visits at schools from Ohio to New England.
